THERE will be an open meeting for those interested in the possibility of setting up a mental health drop-in centre in Tralee.
‘The Open Door Community Initiative’ event will take place in The Rose Hotel, tomorrow night, Thursday, at 7:30pm.
The initiative is spearheaded by prominent local mental health campaigner, Ger Collins.
The group say; “We are looking at you to help set up a Drop In Centre in Tralee. We need you whether you have experience or not. We all have something to offer each other.”
The group are looking to gain support from the public on a voluntary basis. If the drop-in centre gets off the ground it will be the first of its kind in the county.
There will be guest speakers on the night, including – Cormac Williams from The Psychiatric Nurses Association of Ireland and others still to be announced.
Organisers say, attendance is limited so if the sooner you get to the meeting the better.
