Met Eireann Issues Orange Warning Update For Kerry And Cork

MET Eireann has issued an update to the Status Orange Wind Warning issued earlier today as Storm Callum approaches.

It now says Cork and Kerry will be hit first with Southeast winds veering southwest which will gust generally between 100 and 130km/h, higher in some coastal areas and on high ground.

Along with a spell of heavy rain and high tides there is a risk of coastal flooding and damage. The warning is valid from Thursday at 10pm to Friday at  9am, not 12 noon as previously stated.

The Orange warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare will begin at 0.01am on Friday and end at 1pm on Friday.
