MET Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Rainfall Warning for Kerry taking effect this afternoon.

The weather warning, which also effects Cork and Clare, says heavy rain will arrive this evening, tonight and tomorrow morning ad will give accumulations of 20 to 40mm, with potentially higher amounts in mountainous areas.

As soils are saturated from recent rainfall this additional rainfall will lead to spot flooding. The warning is valid from 3pm on Tuesday until 12 noon on Wednesday.  Looking at the rainfall radar on the Met Eieann website, it looks like the rain will arrive in Kerry at about 5pm this evening.
