Met Éireann Issues Wind Warning For Kerry

WITH a weather advisory for the country already in place, Met Éireann has now issued a Status Yellow Wind warning for Kerry, Cork, Clare and Limerick.

The warning takes effect from late on Friday afternoon and will see north to northwest winds strengthen on Friday evening and Friday night, gusting up to 100km/h.

It’s valid for a 12 hour period from 4pm on Friday until 4am on Saturday. Meanwhile, today will be very cold with temperatures of 5ºc or under. There will be showers but also spells of sunshine in the afternoon.

It’ll be bitterly cold tonight and Friday will be a similar day to Thursday with those strong winds arriving in the evening.

However, there’s some better news for the weekend as after some morning showers on Saturday, there’ll be dry weather lasting up until Sunday night but remaining cold throughout with temperatures in single digits.
