WE’VE been enjoying a fantastic spell of weather over the past two months but it’s about to change (temporarily) over the next couple of days.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Wind warning for Kerry taking effect from this evening.

Southeast winds, veering southwesterly will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h, mainly in coastal areas and on exposed hills and mountains.

The warning is valid from today, Thursday at 7pm until  Friday at 5pm. Meanwhile early indications are that Saturday will be a mix of sunny spells and occasional showers, while Sunday will be mostly dry in Kerry.
