Met Éireann Warns Of More Cold Weather For Tonight

IT’S been a cold week and it looks like that will continue for at least another night.

Met Éireann has issued another Status Yellow Ice warning for Ireland for Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

They say there will be icy stretches leading to hazardous travelling conditions again, with wintry showers continuing. Freezing rain is possible in the southwest and there will be freezing fog patches.

The warning is valid from 7pm on Wednesday to 12 noon on Thursday. In the Tralee area, temperatures are predicted to fall as low as 1ºc during this time period.

While a shower or two might occur, the rest of Wednesday will be mainly dry before the rain arrives in the early hours of Thursday.

The rain will clear for a mainly dry but cold day on Thursday, with cold weather again on Thursday night into Friday. Milder and drier conditions are forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
