IT’S become a bit of a forgotten art form of electioneering, but the Healy Raes do have a thing for preserving old ways and traditions.
With the general election around the corner, Micheal Healy Rae features in a new video to soundtrack his campaign with a reworking of farm machinery cult-classic ‘Hit the Diff’.
The song called ‘Make the Diff’ is performed by Killarney band ‘Truly Diverse’ and sings the praises of the South Kerry independent’s famous black cap and political style.

Healy Rae will be knocking on doors in Tralee this time around, but we’re not convinced that the people of the town are his target market with this one.
He may have to rework some other hits for the county’s capital like, ‘Rock Down To Casements Avenue’ or ‘Oh Caherina’.
