This Week in the Coiste na nÓg:

The week started off with our U9 boys making the trip to Lewis Road to face Dr Crokes in the latest of their Go Games. It was another fantastic showing from the boys and in particular their teamwork was a highlight of the evening. Some great scoring and equally strong defending also on show.

Our U15 side travelled to Castleisland to play a strong Desmonds side in the Central Region. It was not to be our U15s night but as always they did not lack in effort, they will travel to Churchill this week on Wednesday evening.

Our U11s faced another strong team in Na Gaeil on Thursday and worked hard against the tough opposition. A great effort from our U11 sides who look forward to another trip this time to Kilcummin on Wednesday evening.

Finishing a busy week for our U9s before they take a break for next weeks Cut Camps was a short trip to neighbouring Keel. Both teams must be commended on some fantastic football on the night despite difficult weather conditions. Some fantastic skills and teamwork was on show from our U9s once again.

A absolutely fantastic morning was had last Sunday in Beaufort as our U6 & U7 teams played 4 different games against our hosts. All players on both teams had lots of fun, played very well and for some it was their first game ever. Well done to all the boys and girls on both teams and their fantastic coaches. A special word of thanks to Beaufort GAA and especially to head coach Katie O’Sullivan for organising the games.

In a preview of what was to come on Sunday for our senior team our U13 White Team had a great win 2-12 to 0-05 on the same field as Sundays victory. Well done to the players on a great win and performance.

The following evening our U13 Green Team were also on the road, this time to Glenflesk and again produced a great performance to get the win by a score of 3-12 to 2-07.

Junior: Congratulations to our Junior side whose strong performances in this years Mid Kerry League brought them to a play off against Beaufort last Tuesday evening. The juniors had a great win on the night to set up a final date next week against Laune Rangers. The final score Milltown/Castlemaine 2-13 V 0-12 Beaufort

Minor: Well done and hard luck to our Minor side who began the week on Bank Holiday Monday with a magnificent second half effort but unfortunately just missed out in the Central Region Final in Na Gaeil against Ballymac.
