This Monday (tomorrow) evening we will be meeting with Team Captains, thank you all so much for getting involved and to everyone who has signed up so far to walk.

Our Teams will be raising funds by sponsorship card and online,

keep your eyes peeled for their links during the week.

The team’s that raise the most money which will all go towards our brand new  community walkway will get a prize and there will be spot prizes on the day too.

The entry fee for the 24 hour walkathon on the day is €20 per family, why not join up with one of our teams or come along on the day to join in the fun and raise funds for our fantastic new community walkway here at Paddy Burke Memorial Park.

Last year like many other events our annual fundraising nights which are so important to our club unfortunately had to be postponed.

The event will also act as the official opening of our walkway here at Paddy Burke Memorial Park and promises to be a fantastic event. There is still time to get involved. If you would like to walk, become a captain or help out with the event on the day please contact our club secretary Susan on secretary.milltowncastlemaine.kerry@gaa.ie

Thank you all for your continued support.

Coiste na nÓg:

Sponsored by Foleys Spar, Milltown

This Week in the Coiste na nÓg:

Our U15 side hosted Glenbeigh/Glencar in their final game in Div 2 of this year’s central region competition and had a fantastic finish to the game to take the spoils in a great game. Some great football and even better team spirit saw our Milltown/Castlemaine side win the round 5 game by one extra green flag with the final score reading 7-13 to 6-13. I well deserved and well earned win for our U15s who have performed very well in this year’s Central Region.

Our U9 boys made the short trip to the track in Killorglin this morning and a lovely Sunday morning was had by all. Our U9s were in fantastic form playing some of the best football they have played all summer long, well done to all the teams for their incredible team work, skill and effort. Thank you to hosts Laune Rangers whose U9 teams also played very well.

Senior Team:

What did happen this weekend is the 4th team in our group was decided as Beaufort got the win over Na Gaeil in Fitzgeralds Stadium to set up the first of our Seniors Group games at a Neutral ground against Na Gaeil, further details to be confirmed during the week.

Best of luck to our senior panel and management next weekend, BAILE AN MHUILINN – CAISLEÁN NA MAINGE ABU !
