Club minor footballer Ríain Foley will travel to Mexico City this week for the ITF Union Open World Taekwon-Do World Championship. Riain will Weigh-in on the 19th for the weight division that Riain will compete in for Sparring, followed by a Seminar where Masters & Grand Master (9th degree Black Belts) from all over the world will speak to competitors & perform demonstrations – there will be a light training session as part of it. On Sat Riain will have 2 main competitions – 1) Tul (Patterns) which is where competitors demonstrate the technical movements of TaeKwon-Do & then Sparring (1:1 combat – points system) winner takes all.

The very best of luck to the MKL Gaels Senior Ladies as they go on to face Dromcollogher Broadford Ladies football in the Munster LGFA Championship Quarter Final which has been moved to Friday 19th Nov at 8pm @ Listowel Emmets GAA Grounds.

Mid Kerry U15s
Congratulations to the Mid Kerry U15 Team and Coaches on winning the U15 County Championship on Sunday Afternoon at Fitzgeralds Stadium, Killarney.
Trailing at halftime by two points the Mid Kerry team fought back with some outstanding forward play seeing them score 5 goals on the day. The final score ending up Mid Kerry 5-04 v 0-12 Tralee District.
There were so many fantastic performances on the day as the player done their clubs and district proud. We were very pleased to welcome the team and their coaches back to the social area at Paddy Burke Memorial Park afterwards where the team were able enjoy the best of food from Almas Takeaway outside in the social area. A big thank you to all who helped out serving the hot drinks, food and looking after the team on the day.
Well done to all of the players once again with a special mention for all of our club members here at Milltown/Castlemaine GAA there were involved in the Mid Kerry Set up this year.
They were Dara Hogan, Cian O Brien, Tristan Jasinski Damien O Connor, Liam O Dowd, Eoghan Bolger, Aaron Dinham and Gearoid Quirke and to Ian Twiss who is part of the management team

Mid Kerry Championship:
The first round of games this week saw Cromane just overcome Keel in the first of Sundays games and county intermediate finalists Beaufort just edging our Glenbeigh/Glencar to set up a semi final between the two winners Cromane and Beaufort next weekend with the other semi final to be played between our own Milltown/Castlemaine Senior Team and Laune Rangers.
The Semi Finals will be played next weekend with Milltown/Castlemaine hosting Laune Rangers on Saturday the 20th Nov @ 2.30pm at Paddy Burke Memorial Park with Cromane hosting Beaufort the following day at midday.
