News Update:
MKL Gaels
Another fantastic day for the MKL Ladies Senior Side as they performed incredibly against Cloney-Quin of Co Clare to go through to the Munster Junior A Football Final.
On a momentous day at Paddy Burke Memorial Park the action started with a win in the intermediate semi final for Castleisland Desmonds over Galtee Rovers St Pecauns of Tipperary. Best wishes to the Desmonds ladies in the final.
The second game of the afternoon saw local ladies team MKL Gaels face Cloney Quin of Co Clare and after a blistering performance the MKL Ladies went on to win the game with the final score MKL Gaels 6:10 Clooney-Quin 1:04.
There was incredible support for the MKL Seniors on the day and we want to wish them all the very best in the Munster Final on what will be another historic day for the club.
Thank you sincerely to all of the many volunteers who helped on the day to make the day so successful and enjoyable for all. There were in excess of 30 volunteers throughout the day, thank you to each of you for your help. Thank you also to the supporters of the teams in action for their support of our club lotto and shop and to the Munster LGFA also.
Operation Transformation
The year has not finished but we are looking towards the new one and hoping to create a team at our club for Operation Transformation in January. At the moment we are looking for anyone interested in helping to organise our clubs OT efforts? Please contact Danny on 087 653 6631 if you are interested.
County Championship Final
Wishing the very best to coaches who worked together at our Milltown/Castlemaine GAA Club Wayne Quillinan and William Harmon who are going head to head next weekend for Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahilly’s in the County Championship Final. Best of luck to both teams on what will no doubt be a fitting occasion to finish off this year’s championship.
Wayne was Senior Manager of our club winning the 2014 Mid Kerry Championship along with William and Senior Manager David Heasman who were selectors for the team. William of course played for Milltown/Castlemaine GAA Club from juvenile to Senior Level winning many honours with the club. Best of luck again to both with their respective teams next weekend.

It was a fantastic end to the year and much deserved for this hard working team. Well done every member of the panel who all drove each other on throughout the year and showed great team spirit all throughout.
Thank you also to the fantastic coaching team Turlough, John, Laurence, James & Sean for all of their hard work.
Captain Tristan Jasinski received the Shield and Man of the Match award was Aaron Dinham, well done to them both and all of their teammates.
We would like to pay special thanks to Alan O’Connor and his team at Almas Takeaway for providing the food after today’s final for the team and for their support on many occasions throughout the year.
We would like to thank our Coiste na nÓg sponsors Foleys Spar, Milltown for their continued support in their 4th year supporting the youngest members of our club and also for sponsoring our brand new social area.
A sincere thank you to the many volunteers and supporters who helped throughout the year covid supervising, taking photos, sending reports, bringing food to events and for being so supportive of the team.
Thank you to our Coiste na nÓg`chairman Ollie Kirwan and Secretary Joan O’Shea all their support in their first year in their roles and we look forward to a full football year for 2022.
This time last year we were facing uncertain times, it ended up that we didn’t have football until the month of May but we were overjoyed to see the juvenile members of our club take the field again and hopefully we will be able to hit the ground running in 2022. Thank you to each and every club member for making 2021 as special as possible for our young footballers.
