Credit Union County Senior Football League: Division 2 Round 4 Result and Round 5 Fixture
Milltown/Castlemaine ‘A’ continued their 100% start to the Credit Union County Senior Football League on Sunday afternoon as they recorded an impressive nineteen point victory at home to near neighbours Listry on a score of 4-14 to 1-04.

Listry got the ideal start playing against a stiff breeze inside the opening minutes when Aaron O’Shea rattled the net for the visitors following a short free and it was a tight contest all through the opening half.

Eanna O’Connor slotted a penalty to the back of the Listry net before half time after Gavin McKenna was fouled which gave Milltown/Castlemaine some extra breathing room, retiring for the interval with a seven point lead, 1-09 to 1-02.

The anticipated comeback from Listry, now playing with the elements in their favour failed to materialise in the second half and Milltown/Castlemaine powered for home with three further goals doing the damage – Eanna O’Connor scoring two to round off his hat trick and Jerome Flynn raising a green flag also.

Round 5 takes place next weekend when Kilcummin host Milltown/Castlemaine on Friday evening, April 29th at 7:00pm. Both sides are unbeaten thus far in Division 2 so it promises to be an enthralling contest.
