County Senior Football Development League: Division 3 Shield Final Result
Milltown/Castlemaine’s Senior ‘C’ side travelled to Currow last Friday evening to take on the hosts in the Shield Final of the County Development League. Unfortunately it was not to be their night as Currow led 1-08 to 0-05 at half time before running out 3-13 to 0-12 victors in the end. Hard luck to the players and management who put in a great effort throughout the competition.

Kerry GAA Development Squads:
Milltown/Castlemaine GAA was well represented last Saturday with 8 members (6 players and 2 coaches) donning the Green and Gold as the Kerry South U-14, U-15 and U-16s all were in action.
Kerry South U-14s had a big win over Laois at the Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence in Currans. Charlie Griffin was representing our club.
Kerry South U-15s fell to a narrow two point defeat against Galway North in Lewis Road, Killarney. Ian Twiss was part of the management whilst James Dempsey, Michael Lynch and Sean Griffin were part of the playing squad.
Kerry South U-16s travelled to Millstreet to take on West Cork on Saturday also and came away with a 2-10 to 0-06 victory. David Heasman was manager of the side with Dara Hogan and Aaron Dinham part of the squad.
Well done to all our club representatives. It is fantastic to see some of our club players progressing to play at the highest level for Kerry and similarly it is great to see our coaches pitting their wits against those from other counties.

U-7s: Recent Action
Milltown/Castlemaine’s U-7s were in Listry on Friday evening. They had 3 teams and played 3 very entertaining games. There are great improvements being made by our future stars week on week. Keep up the good work!

U-11s: Munster Go Games Blitz

Well done to the U-11 boys team and management who took part in the Munster Go-Games Blitz in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney on Thursday morning. The boys played games against Austin Stacks, Rathmore and Fossa before being given a stadium tour by former Kerry captain Fionn Fitzgerald, who passed on some great insights from his time playing with Kerry.
They also took part in another Blitz in Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork today.
Thanks to Donal Daly and all those in Munster GAA games development who organise these great blitzes.

U-13s: Training Arrangements

Milltown/Castlemaine’s U-13 Green and White sides will both continue training on Friday of this week at 6:00pm at the club grounds. Fixture details for the next round of games are yet to be confirmed but it is likely that they will begin next weekend.

U-15s: Central Region Division 2, Round 5 Result
Milltown/Castlemaine’s U-15 side hosted Sneem/Derrynane/Templenoe/Tuosist last week and continued their 100% winning record. They were victorious on a scoreline of 3-12 to 4-08.
Fantastic result in a cracking open game of football between both sides. The result could have gone either way but our lads showed tremendous resilience to hold out in the end and in doing so have now made it three wins from three games.
