The fortnightly club lotto draw took place on Monday, May 1st at the club grounds. There was no jackpot or match 3 winner on this occasion. The numbers drawn were 8, 12, 31 and the bonus ball was 5.

Credit Union County Senior Football League: Division 1, Round 6 Fixture
Milltown/Castlemaine ‘A’ will travel to take on Spa Killarney on Saturday, May 13th at 7:00pm in Round 6 of the Credit Union County Senior Football League. Venue is Spa GAA.

Credit Union County Senior Football League: Division 6, Round 6: BYE
Milltown/Castlemaine ‘B’ have a ‘Bye’ this weekend so will not be in action as there is 13 teams in Division 6 of the Credit Union County Senior Football League so every side will have a free weekend during the season.

Kellihers Toyota Tralee Central Region Minor Football League: Division 1A, Round 1 Result
Well done to our Minor side and their management team who had a fantastic victory on Monday evening in the opening round of the Kellihers Toyota Tralee Central Region Minor Football League as they recorded a narrow one point victory over Austin Stacks on a score of 1-14 to 1-13 in the Paddy Burke Memorial Park, Milltown. Great win lads!

Round 2 of the Central Region will take place this Friday, May 12th when Milltown/Castlemaine host Keel/Listry at 6:30pm in the Paddy Burke Memorial Park, Milltown. Best wishes to the lads and all support would be very welcome.

Kerry Minors: Eirgrid All-Ireland Football Championship Semi-Final
Best wishes to Milltown/Castlemaine’s Dara Hogan this Thursday, May 11th as he will line out for the Green and Gold of Kerry in the Munster GAA Electric Ireland Minor Football Quarter Final against Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Throw-in is 7:00pm and the match will be live on TG4’s YouTube Channel for those unable to attend. David Heasman from Milltown/Castlemaine is also a Selector with the side so we wish him the very best too.

U9 Boys: Go Games Round 3 Fixture
Best of luck to Milltown/Castlemaine’s U9 Boys who will make the journey to take on Glenflesk on Tuesday evening, May 9th at 6:30pm as part of the Go Games Series.

U15 Boys: Lee Strand County Football League, Division 3A Result and Upcoming Fixture
Hard luck to our U15 players and management team who travelled to take on Fossa away last Wednesday evening in the final round of the group stage of the County League and came up just short, losing out by the narrowest of margins on a score of 1-15 to 4-05 after an end-to-end contest.

The team have still advanced to the Semi-Finals of the County League after the five group matches (3 wins, 2 losses) and will now take on Kilcummin on Wednesday, May 10th (tomorrow) at 7:00pm in the Paddy Burke Memorial Park, Milltown. All support welcome.

Wedding Bells: Congratulations
Milltown/Castlemaine GAA Club would like to take this opportunity to send Garry Murphy and Caitriona Brosnan every good wish and happiness for the future as they got married last Friday and also we extend similar best wishes to Jamie O’Shea and Joanne O’Sullivan who tied the knot on Friday last, two club weddings on the same day! Congratulations to both couples and we hope you and your family/friends had a wonderful occasion and that ye enjoy many happy years together.

Kerry U20s: Commiserations
Hard luck to the Kerry U20s and especially to Milltown/Castlemaine GAA’s Cillian Burke as the team lost out to Sligo last Saturday in the Eirgrid All-Ireland U20 Football Championship Semi-Final in Pearse Stadium, Galway. Cillian put in a very good performance at midfield but it just wasn’t meant to be on this occasion for the team. Brighter days lie ahead undoubtedly for Cillian at club and county level and he can be so proud of his performances in the Green and Gold all season!

We are delighted to be back in training with our amazing GAA 4 ALL Group on Wednesday evenings, providing fun, football training for children in the Mid Kerry Area with additional needs.
We would love to take on more and as many players as possible but to do this we need plenty of coaches to join our already amazing team

Kerry Seniors: All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Group Stages
Following Kerry’s victory against Clare in the 2023 Munster Senior Football Championship Final at the weekend, they will now advance to take their place in Group 1 of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Group Stages.

On Saturday, May 20th Kerry will take on Mayo at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney with throw-in at 3:00pm.

Ticket arrangements have yet to be confirmed by the GAA for the match. A communication will be issued to club members once we have any information.

Milltown Castlemaine GAA Clothes Recycling Collection:

Our clothing recycling collection is now happening so we urge you to clean out your wardrobes of all unwanted clothes, sheets, blankets, towels, curtains, shoes etc and drop them to the Paddy Burke Memorial Park in Milltown.
This is a wonderful way of doing your bit for the environment and raising much needed funds for our club at the same time.
