Get well:
We wish all those from our community and beyond who are sick-a full return to health. We think in particular of all those who may be in hospital at the moment- as well as those caring for them. We hope the New Year will bring good health and happiness to you all.
Festive Fun Football For Charity:
The annual Milltown Castlemaine GAA
Parish League for charity took place on
St. Stephen’s Day in the The Dragons Den,Killorglin. A huge well done to the organisers Stephen Roche and Garry Murphy. A special thanks to all the players of the 6 teams that took part and to the referees Mike Hickey and Brendan Twiss.
Our chairman Podge Leane was on hand serving tea/ coffee and Larkins Brack to all the footballers and supporters too. Míle buíochas Podge. We also appreciate the generosity of James O’ Mahony, of the ISK, who gave us the use of the Astro Turf Pitch free of charge.
A total amount of €770 was raised which will go to the Kerry/Cork Cancer Link Bus.
Fundraising Lotto Jackpot:
O’Shea’s Bar was the venue for the final draw for 2018.
There was a jackpot of €6,200 on offer with €300 for a match 3.
Drawn numbers were : 6,10,19 and the bonus number was 20 . Congratulations to yearly ticket holder Ann Flynn, Gurrane, Firies who had a match 3 and so won for herself €300.
Many thanks Ann for supporting our fundraising lotto.
We also had the annual special draw for yearly ticket holders on the same night with fantastic prizes donated by local businesses. We are truly blessed by the generosity of people.
