THERE’LL be some well-known faces gracing a charity ball in the Rose Hotel this June with some great prizes to be won.
The Midsummer’s Ball in aid of the Palliative Care Unit at UHK will take place on June 9, at the hotel and Miriam O’Callaghan was in town on Wednesday night to launch the event.
She will be one of the special guests in June along with fellow RTE journalist and Kerry native Katie Hannon.
It will be a formal dress occasion, where guests will be welcomed with a champagne reception. Music will be provided by The Disagreements, which will be followed by a disco.
All funds raised from the event will be going to Kerry Hospice and the Palliative Care Unit.
Fantastic spot prizes like jolphers signed by a number of jockeys, has been donated by Jack Kennedy as well as a pair of gloves signed by Katie Taylor. The Quality Framing Company in Tralee framed both free of charge for the event.
