IT was a fun time for Croilar Na Mistealach kids at the weekend when they held an informative safety awareness day.
The Residents Committee at the new estate saw a need for a Road Safety Workshop due to busy traffic in the estate after the nearby Aras an Phobail building was opened.
The Committee invited Community Garda, Deirdre Quinn, to highlight awareness about the dangers of busy roads, stranger awareness and with Halloween looming the dangers of fireworks and fire safety at the centre on Sunday.
It was an interactive workshop where children got involved and did lots of fun activities – answered questions, did fingerprinting, colouring and even got a chance to try out handcuffs.
Everyone received a certificate for attending.
