A GROUP based in Blennerville called ‘The Mothers and Others’ are coming together to run a mini-marathon in Dublin on June 6 in aid of the Kerry Hospice.
Behind the charity drive is Andrea O’Donoghue whose father Tony O’Donoghue, sadly passed away after a battle with cancer in 2014.
“I’ve experienced what the Kerry Hospice and the Palliative Care Unit can do and I know where the money is going,” said Andrea.

The Kerry Hospice is currently building a new unit in the grounds of Kerry General Hospital that is set to cost upwards of €6.2 million.
So far ‘The Mothers and Others’ have signed up around 40 people for the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon.
“We all hope to wear Kerry Hospice t-shirts on the day and I am hoping some businesses in town will help us out on this. Any one willing to contribute will have their business logo on the back of the t shirt. Remember it is all for a good cause.”
