GARDAI in Killarney are investigating a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred outside the village of Sneem, this evening.
The collision occurred at approximately 6.45pm on the Cahersiveen to Sneem Road (approx. 3 miles outside Sneem). A motorcyclist travelling along the road came off the motorcycle and collided with a ditch.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. His remains have been removed to University Hospital Kerry where a post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow. No one else was injured in the collision.
The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination but has since reopened.
