IT’S that time of the year again.

Off go the uniforms and on with the top fashions as Mercy Mounthawk Transition Years take to the runway for their annual fundraising fashion shows at 2pm and 8pm on Wednesday November 29.

Teacher Stacey O’Leary, who is organising the event with the students, explained what it’s about this year.

“The theme is ‘The Wonder of Winter’ and the beneficiaries from proceeds this year are Recovery Haven, Muscular Dystrophy Ireland and the TY fund here in the school. We have fashions from local boutiques and stores,” she said.

“There will be 155 Transition Years taking part this year and if anyone wants to buy a ticket they can contact them or on the door on the night,” said Ms O’Leary.

There will be a raffle on the night and a Best Dressed Lady which will  be judged by former Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh. Sounds like a lot of fun, so get to Mercy Mounthawk next Wednesday. The 2pm show is €5 and the 8pm show is €10.
