THERE’S sure to be nuns on the run as well as many other fancily dressed characters this Sunday at the Tralee Musical Society 5k Run from Tralee Wetlands.

The run is the first in the ‘Run The Kingdom’ calendar of events and will launch the Society’s production of ‘Sister Act – A Divine Musical Comedy’ which takes place at Siamsa Tire in April.

Oliver Hurley has spectacular plans for the feel-good, family-friendly musical extravaganza, which will run at Siamsa Tire from Wednesday April 8 to Sunday, April 12 at 8pm. It will be great for school kids as they will be on their Easter holidays.

To launch the production, the 5k Fancy Dress Fun Run will be around the theme of music and musicals.

There will be a show by TMS in the Wetlands after the race along with refreshments.

There will also be great prizes for the best costume, so it should be an entertaining affair for everyone.

For the more serious runners, the first three men and women home will get a free entry to the Tralee International Marathon. Every finisher will also receive a medal.

Registration fee for the race on Sunday is €15. To register online click here. Online registration closes on Friday at midnight.

Number Collection and race registration on Sunday is from 9 am at the Wetlands Centre, race starts at 11am.
