NA GAEIL U 16: Our lads are not only talented on the field with a ball but also have talents to entertain us from the stage.

All proceeds will go towards a kit for the lads.

NA GAEIL U12: Well done to both our U12 teams who travelled to Kenmare last Sunday evening.

Our first match was a very tight and evenly contested battle and going in to the final minutes of the second half it looked liked Kenmare had snatched a win but up popped Graham Sheehy who got a hand on a cross to grab a late goal to draw level at the end.All the boys contributed to a fine game with Oisin Mauncell getting the Man of the Match award in midfield. In the second match the Na Gaeil lads have shown great heart in every game this year and were rewarded with a great win.

Goals from Sean O Connell, Cian Sheehan  and a dramatic late winner by Jack Doyle contributed to a frantic final few minutes but we held out for a well deserved win at the final whistle. Well done to both Na Gaeil teams.Na gaeil 5.11 Kenmare 5.10 Training continues this Thursday.

NA GAEIL GIRLS U8/10: We participated last Sunday June 14th in the annual North Kerry girls U10’s football blitz. We fielded a young team and for many this was their first time to play in a blitz.

However we were boosted by the return of a few of our more experienced players. The first game was against a very strong Castleisland Desmonds team. It took us a while to settle and gel as a team as many of our girls were playing together for the first time. We conceded a few soft scores but as the game wore on we netted a few scores and gave Castleisland a good fight.

The second game was against the host team Abberdorney. We learned from our mistakes in the first game and after good team play and scoring from our midfielders and forwards we built up a good lead.

Our defence had to withstand a comeback from the Abbeydorney girls but we ran out winners by a few scores.

Our final game was against Corca Dhuibne and this gave us a chance to give game time to all our panel. This was a very evenly matched and exciting  game and there were excellent scores, goalkeeping and near misses.

The game deservedly ended in a draw. The weather condition on the day were perfect and all our players enjoyed themselves. We were able to put what we have learned in training over the last few weeks into practice and for the girls to play in different positions. It was a good learning experience for those who have joined our team this year.
