Juvenile: Our juvenile season is now up and running with all teams back doing light training and games. Watch these notes for reports etc. and make sure that mentors/coaches have parents’/guardians’ phone numbers for texts to keep families informed of times and venues etc.. We hope that everyone will enjoy the year and have successes like last year.

Parents can be assured that all our coaches are gárda vetted and have their appropriate coaching badges. Remember that Na Gaeil is Juvenile Club of the Year

Scór: A big thank you to all who supported our quiz last Friday evening. This was to help support our young Lèiriú thespians who are heading to Sligo to represent Na Gaeil Tralee /St Brendan’s Board, Kerry and Munster in the All-Ireland Scór Na nÓg Final on Saturday 17th February. We hope that you all enjoyed the evening.

Sympathy: is expressed to Colm Ó’Suilleabháin and family on the unexpected death of his brother, Seán, in Cavan recently. Ar deis lámh Dé go raibh a anam diliís.

Discussion/Information Evening: All members are invited to a Discussion/Information Evening in the club on this Sat 3rd. Feb at 8 30pm. This will be an interactive evening where everyone is invited to share their views, hopes and ideas for the club’s development over the coming seasons in all areas. It is hoped to cover Football, Scór, Clubhouse, Social activities and anything else that you may wish to bring up.

Under 14: The U14 Boys returned last Tuesday, January 30th, with a well attended meeting of both parents and players.. The coaching staff will also meet the players on Tuesday next,the 6th February. Training will recommence on Sunday, February 11th, at the All Weather pitch in the Complex. It is proposed that training will continue on Sundays and Tuesdays after that. New members are always welcome. Please attend the various events as they affect you.

Under 12:
We had a great turnout at training last Sunday despite the blustery weather conditions. Hope to see you all again next Sunday in Tralee Sports Complex starting at 11am. Bring warm clothes, mouth guard, water and €2 to cover the cost of the venue. We always welcome new members so if you’d like to give football a go why not come along on Sunday & try it out.

Under 10: training took place last Sunday morning at the Tralee sports complex with a most enjoyable training session.
Training continues again next Sunday at 10 00am also at the sports complex. New members welcome! Don’t forget your gum-shields, water and €2 to cover the cost of facilities. See you all there!

Under 8:

Week 3 of the 2018 season for our U8 superstars at Tralee Sports Complex on Sunday.  Our coaches were very pleased to see lots of progress already.

If parents have any questions about training or if you would simply like to meet the coaches and other trainers, please attend our Information and Discussion night on Saturday 03 February from 8pm.

Next Sunday’s training, which will once again be held at Tralee Sports Complex, from 10am.  Don’t forget your gumshield, drinking water and €2 for use of the facilities.

February Drama:    As for the drama in February…..it’s One Murder and A Christening and it’s the sequel to our highly successful One Wedding and a Funeral from last year. It will be held in the club on the nights of Fri. the 23rd and Sat. 24th February. As anyone who attended The Wedding last January will confirm, a fantastic night’s entertainment is guaranteed! Keep an eye on these notes for more details over the coming weeks.

Clothes Collection    There is now a Clothes Collection Bin situated in Na Gaeil car park. If anyone has bags of old clothes to dispose of please drop them in the bin. If the bin is full, they can be dropped into the clubhouse. It would be much appreciated.

Na Gaeil Cycling Club    Na Gaeil Cycling Club winter schedule: Saturday mornings at 10am from the clubhouse. ALL ARE WELCOME, high Vis essential.

Fir Na Gaeil     Light Football Training for Men who have retired from playing football and for those that have not played and would like to try it out. Very little skill is required. This is a great way to keep fit with light training, ball games and a bit of a laugh. Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info. Indoor Core Training on Mondays from 7.00 to 8.00 in the gym and Friday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm in the I.T.

Mná Na Gaeil     We are a Gaelic for Mothers and Others team who come together and do a bit of exercise, football training and socialising. Anyone who would like to join are most welcome, No skills are required, just a good attitude and a sense for fun. We are now doing indoor Core work for the winter on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.  Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info.

Lotto:   The draw for the jackpot of €5,700 took place on Tuesday evening last.

Numbers drawn were 1, 4, 18 and 19.  No winner of Jackpot of the jackpot of €5,700.

Draw: €50:  Tim Lynch, Castlegregory, Willie Connaire, Bella Bia, Tralee.

€25:  Margaret Crean, Racecourse Lawn, John & Eileen Doherty, Árd na Lí, Patricia Cassidy, Derrylea, Pat O’Connor Derry Lea. Jackpot next week €5,800. All are welcome for the draw in the club each Tuesday night at 10.30pm.

Bingo:    Bingo is on every Monday night at 8.30pm sharp. We have prize money of over €1,000 guaranteed every week with a mini jackpot that increases fortnightly when not won.  A door prize and a half-time raffle with lovely prizes will also take place every week. A bus service is available at 087 2817577.  You can ring this number for pick up and drop off.  100% of the funds raised go back directly into the club. The bingo is run on a total voluntary basis by our club members.  A huge thank you to all the parents who offer their time to run this vital fundraiser for the club.  If anyone wants to donate a spot prize for our weekly bingo raffle, please leave it at clubhouse and mark it “Bingo”. Thanks to all our patrons who support this event on a weekly basis.

Cards   A card game is held every Wednesday night in the clubhouse. This is a very sociable occasion where you meet your friends for a great night’s entertainment and relaxation.  Everyone from novice to senior will enjoy a relaxing game of 45.
