NA GAEIL U 12: Training continues Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

NA GAEIL U16 LADIES: Na Gaeil Ladies v Killarney Legion, U16 County League Div 1. We played away on Thursday night to a strong Legion team.

Our numbers were depleted due to a lot of our players being away on holidays. But the girls that were there gave their all. Abi started in goals with Aimee and Blaithnaid in the full back line having to work very hard against their fast forwards.

Ciara and Clodagh were pulled all over the field following Legion’s wing forwards and making some great timely blocks and dispossession. Muireann played at centre half back , defended well, made some great interceptions and also played as a third midfielder when we needed it.

Meagan played in midfield and got us some great points with her running from deep. Captain Sarah making some super blocks and earned herself a point and almost a goal.

Abi came into the forwards for the second half and scored a goal within minutes. Meagan, Muireann and started feeding Jadyn with some great ball, earning herself 1-03.

With the aid of the wind and some great runs by Sibeal who scored another point and was unlucky not to get another goal. Caoimhe worked tirelessly in the forwards and half forwards marking, chasing and getting forward.

Caragh was unlucky not to get on the end of a couple of scores and did very well for debut with the U16’s. We did very well and fought bravely to the end with the girls giving their all but it was too much to ask on a big pitch and tired legs caught up with us eventually with Legion finishing strongly.
