One Murder and a Christening    We hope that at this stage everyone has secured tickets for our upcoming comedy drama, One Murder and a Christening, which takes place in the club over the nights of 23rd and 24th of February.

If you were lucky enough to attend The Wedding and Funeral last year you’ll have an inkling of what is in store this time, as we pick up the story of what happened after those crazy nuptials!! The format this year is slightly different.  This is a two act drama and believe me when I say that it is the most hilarious play you will see all year!

Scripted by the inimitable Mary Quirke, it is made all the more enjoyable by the fact that the cast are well known Na Gaeil characters! It is amazing the amount of acting talent we have in the club!! The fun starts at 7.30pm both nights so come along early to maybe have a drink and get a good seat. There won’t be a sit down meal this year but light refreshments will be served in the bar after the event…!!

Scór na nÓg    The All Ireland Final at Sligo IT on Saturday last brought our  Scór na nÓg 2018 journey to an end and it was a proud occasion for all who were part of it.Our Léiriú group performed brilliantly to a packed auditorium of 12,000 people and   against stiff opposition from Leinster , Ulster and Connacht they gave their all.

Even though they didn’t capture their first All Ireland elusive title they won such admiration and respect of all who were part of their  journey and more important put Na Gaeil well and truly on the Scór map.A wonderful weekend full of memories to cherish was had by Barry Sugrue, Liam Óg  Kingston, Joshua Roche, Dearbhla Quirke,  Aine &Aoife O’Sullivan and Isabelle &Emily Crowe who truly did us all proud, mentors Mary and Margaret who are the heart and soul of Scór, the families and supporters who travelled, and even though the result didn’t go out way , it didn’t dampen the pride  it bestowed on Na Gaeil on this wonderful occasion …!

The highlight of the weekend was on arriving back to the club to the wonderful homecoming that awaited everyone with a fabulous array of food which  just showed how much these group of young people are appreciated for all their efforts and for representing Na Gaeil with such pride.A huge THANK YOU to Cathy for her trojan work in this , ably assisted by Càit and Sorcha and to Club Chairman Morgan Sheehy and Chairperson of  Bord Na NÓg Colm O Súilleabháin for their kind words.
