Seniors    Na Gaeil play Glenflesk away in Round 11 of the Senior County League on Sunday August 19th at 1pm. A win would ensure promotion to Division 1 for next season so come out and support your team.

Congrats    Congratulations to Na Gaeil’s Stefan Okunbor who has been named Munster U20 Player of the Province. This comes after a number of impressive displays by Stefan in the Kerry jersey in their U20 campaign. His family, friends and Na Gaeil team mates are all very proud of this great achievement.

U14    Having completed our games in the Central Region Division 1, we played a friendly game against Listowel Emmetts in Listowel last Tuesday evening. In a great team performance we won out in the end against a strong Listowel outfit. We will be playing Keel/Listry on Tuesday 14th August at 6.30pm in Listry. Players are to meet at Na Gaeil at 5.15pm in order to arrange a carpool for those needing a lift to the venue.Keep an eye out for texts re future training sessions.

U13    The annual Rose Cup will be played next Saturday, August 18th. As usual Na Gaeil is co-hosting the group games with Kerins O’ Rahilly’s. We will have a minimum of three games. The games will be 10 minutes a half. The final will be played in Na Gaeil this year, with the winners being presented with their trophy by the Rose of Tralee! As the game is an U13 competition, the younger half of the U14 panel and the U12’s are eligible to play. We urge any players interested to come to Na Gaeil on Saturday, and meet at 9.30am. The competition will commence at 10am. Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch, water, wet gear if the weather is bad and a change of clothes if you do get wet! As usual, we request the parents’ help with the catering for this event. If anyone can provide sandwiches, scones or buns please drop them into the clubhouse on Friday evening or Saturday morning!

U12    Next Monday, Aug 20th our two teams have games in the Kellihers Toyota Central Region U12 Competition. Our Green team will travel to An Ghaeltacht while our White team will host Keel B. Both games are fixed for 7pm. A reminder again that all players have to wear their gumshields at all times during training & games.
We would like to send our best wishes to one of our players, Peter Doyle, who takes part in the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda next weekend.

U10    Well done to the U10 boys in their games against Ballymacelligott on Sunday morning in Killeen. Training will continue this Thursday evening at 6:30pm but there will be no training on Sunday morning. Don’t forget your gum-shields and water.
