New Year Greetings    We wish everybody involved in Na Gaeil Club, officers, coaches, mentors, players, parents, patrons and visitors to our club a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Coiste na nÓg AGM    Na Gaeil Coiste na nÓg held their AGM last recently. Officers elected were Chairperson: Colm Ó’Súilleabháin; Vice-chairperson Ros Fitzgerald; Secretary: John Keating; PRO: Tim Lynch Snr. Registrar: Roz Fitzgerald; Child Welfare Officer: Terry McEneaney.

Colm in his chairperson’s  report gave a detailed account of activities that took place last year but concentrated chiefly on his hopes for the coming season.

He thanked everyone involved in Coiste na nÓg for their commitment and dedication in managing and training all the underage groups and for the fantastic support from all the parents.

It was again a very successful season at all age groups within the club the highlight being the winning of Division 1 U16 County League Final against Dr. Crokes.

This will encourage teams, parents, officers and club members generally to continue the work that has to go in to running a successful club in football, Scór activities and various other social events. Thanks to everybody involved for making it such a successful year for Na Gaeil.

Upcoming Drama    If you enjoyed our comedy dramas over the past two years, then I strongly suggest that you mark the 14th, 15th, and 16th of February in your diary, because the latest offering from the pen of the supremely talented Mary Quirke is currently in rehearsal!

The title this year is “One Ordination and a Donation”, and it is shaping up to be just as hilarious as “One Wedding and a Funeral” and “One Murder and a Christening”!

If you were fortunate enough to see the shenanigans last year, you’ll remember that a modern day miracle occurred at the end of the saga, with the transformation of Holy Water into brandy.

Mary continues the story from this point, and the resulting chaos and hilarity will surely lift the roof from the clubhouse come February!!

Tickets will be available to buy in the bar from the 19th of January, and the advice is to purchase early, because if last year was anything to go by, demand will be massive!!!

Clothes Collection    There is now a Clothes Collection Bin situated in Na Gaeil car park. If anyone has bags of old clothes to dispose of please drop them in the bin. If the bin is full, they can be dropped into the clubhouse. It would be much appreciated.
