Scór Na nÓg All Ireland Finals    All roads lead to The Royal Theatre in Castlebar this weekend when a bus full of eager young performers, their mentors, families and supporters head westbound for the All Ireland Finals of Scór Na nÓg.

Our talented group of Léiriú hopefuls will take to the stage on Saturday afternoon carrying the hopes of club, county and province when they perform the superb “ A Sideline View”, penned by Scriptwriter Supremo  Mary Quirke to a packed auditorium at The Travellers Friend Arena.

This is a huge achievement for these young thespians who have put in huge commitment and dedication over the recent months in reaching the final hurdle of this highly competitive contest and we hope they enjoy the wonderful experience that awaits them.

This of course would not be possible without our magnificent mentors Mary Quirke and Margaret Doody who are instrumental in putting Na Gaeil on the Scór map and are now a performance away from possible All Ireland glory.

The club is so proud of you all and send the very best of luck for Saturday next to Joshua Roche, Rory Reen, Emily & Isabelle Crowe, Áine & Aoife O’Sullivan and Gráinne & Dearbhala Quirke Na Gaeil Abú!

Seniors    The seniors played St. Pat’s Blennerville in the St. Brendan’s League on Friday night and defeated them by a single point. They play Mitchels away this Friday night February 15th at 8pm in the St. Brendan’s / Town League.

Well Done    Well done to Jack Barry and Diarmuid O’Connor who played a big part in Kerry’s victory over Dublin in Austin Stack Park on Saturday night.

Minors     Na Gaeil Minors will begin their Division 1 League campaign with an away game against Killarney Legion on this Saturday February 16th at 3pm.

U14    Boys U14 training continues on Sunday mornings at 11am in Na Gaeil.

Juvenile Training    Juvenile training has continues in the Complex, Tralee every Sunday morning from 10am to 12pm. The age groups catered for are: U6 Boys & Girls; U8, 10 & 12 Boys. For further information contact Denis Sugrue on 087 280 8719 or Colm O Súilleabháin on 087 908 0465. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Free Digital Skills Course    Our Club are looking for members who are interested in participating in a Free Digital Skills Course.

Topics covered include: surfing the net, email, social media, shopping and banking online. If interested drop into the club house and sign up. Course duration is 10 hours and will be run over a couple of evenings in the clubhouse.

Dates and times will be scheduled depending on demand. This is a great opportunity for anybody wishing to brush up on their computer skills and it’s free. So please come along and sign up as soon as possible and we will get the course up and running.

Comedy Drama     If you enjoyed our comedy dramas over the past two years, then I strongly suggest that you mark the 27th, 28th of February and 2nd March your diary, because the latest offering from the pen of the supremely talented Mary Quirke is currently in rehearsal!

The title this year is One Ordination and a Donation, and it is shaping up to be just as hilarious as One Wedding and a Funeral and One Murder and a Christening!

If you were fortunate enough to see the shenanigans last year, you will remember that a modern day miracle occurred at the end of the saga, with the transformation of Holy Water into brandy. Mary continues the story from this point, and the ensuing chaos and hilarity will surely lift the clubhouse roof on all three of the performance nights!

Tickets, priced at €20, are now available in the bar, and my advice is to purchase early, because if last year was anything to go by, demand will be massive!!

Tickets    If you haven’t yet secured tickets for our upcoming drama, One Ordination and a Donation, then I suggest you do so quickly!

The performance on Saturday the 2nd March is completely sold out and the other two dates – Wednesday the 27th February and Thursday the 28th – are selling briskly! Don’t miss an opportunity to see this hilarious comedy!
