Lotto Relaunch    We are delighted to announce the relaunch of the Na Gaeil Club lottery which was suspended in March due to the Covid-19 Restrictions. We invite all of our club members and indeed people in the wider community to support the first draw of our relaunched lottery which will be on Tuesday October 13th at the Na Gaeil clubhouse at 9.30pm.

We are very grateful to all that have supported our lottery to date. For those supporters that have bought repeated entry tickets, please also note that we will be extending the end-date of these tickets by 30 weeks to compensate for the period where there were no draws. You can choose four numbers from 1 to 32 and there will be five lucky dip draws for €20 for those entered each week that the jackpot is not won. Tickets cost €2 each or three for €5. For those that like to pay in advance €50 will enter you in the draw for 26 weeks and €100 will ensure you are entered for the full 52 weeks. The current jackpot stands at €4,300. Full details of our relaunched lottery will be available on the Na Gaeil website.

We would encourage all club members, supporters and their families and also members of the wider community to support our club lottery, as it is a very important source of funding for the club’s activities at all levels and grades.  It is more vital than ever in the current climate as our usual fundraising initiatives have been severely restricted due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic.

We are also delighted to announce that we are adding a facility to play our lotto on-line. This will be made available through the Na Gaeil Club Website: http://www.nagaeil.ie where we will be inviting members and supporters at home and abroad to register and participate in support of our club.

We are also developing a Na Gaeil Club Smart Phone App which will be available shortly for download from the Na Gaeil website. This will be a great way for our members and supporters to keep in touch with all of the club’s activities and provide a paperless method of playing our club lotto. We will keep you informed about this. We look forward to seeing you all in our clubhouse for our first draw on October 13th. We thank you for your support.

Seniors    Na Gaeil have been drawn against Beaufort in the semi final of the Intermediate Championship. No date has been fixed for this clash.

U10    Our U10 boys made the short trip to Caherslee this morning to take on Austin Stacks. We fielded three teams and every player got plenty of game time.  Thanks to Austin Stacks for hosting us.

Sympathy    We extend our sincere sympathy to the Kerins family on the recent death of their father Mícheál of Cockleshell Road. He was a staunch GAA man and devoted his life to his beloved Kerins O’Rahilly’s both as a player and an administrator. He was club president since 2007 and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Mothers and Others Our Mná Na Gaeil football team is up and running again with training on Tuesday and Saturday evenings. Gaelic for Mothers and Others is for those who may have retired from football and also for those that have never played football. It’s a fun way of making new friends, having a bit of fun, getting a bit fit and learning some football skills. There is also the social side of it which is probably the most important part. Everyone is welcome from the young to the more experienced.

Clubhouse The clubhouse is open from 7pm to 11pm during week nights and from 6pm at the weekends. It is closed for all outside activities and the gym will also be closed until there is further clarification from GAA Headquarters as to when they can re-open. This means that our Monday night bingo and Wednesday night card playing are suspended as well as all other activities that normally took place there on a weekly basis.

Clothes Collection There is now a Clothes Collection Bin situated in Na Gaeil car park for use by all members of the public.
