Kerry v Dublin: Congratulations to the Kerry senior team on their win over Dublin in the National League last Saturday night. The club was represented by Diarmuid O’Connor who won the Man of the Match award and Jack Barry.

Bord na nÓg AGM: The Bord na nÓg AGM took place last Thursday. New officers elected are: Chairman Dan Walsh; Vice-chair Dan O’Connor; Secretary Mick Warr, Assistant Secretary Anthony Griffin. Chairperson Colm O’Súilleabháin and Secretary John Keating both stepped down after many years of dedicated service to Na Gaeil Bord na nÓg.

Colm spoke as follows: “Mar focal scoir, ba mhaith liom a chuir in iúil díbh go bhfuilim ag éirí as mo phost mar chathaoirleach ar Bhord na nÓg tareis cuig bliana.D’éirig linn dul chinn maith a dhéanamh i rith an ama san. Arís ba mhaith liom mo buíochas a ghabháil le gach éinne a thug cabhair agus tacaíocht don gcumann le mo linn féin mar chathaoirleach. Is cumann óg sinn atá ag dul ó near go near agus de réir a chéile a tógtar na caisleáin,tógtar iad le foighne dúthrach obair is comhoibriú ní near gan cur le chéile.”

Lotto results: Jackpot of €6,300 not won. Winning numbers were 7; 14; 23; 29. Lucky dip winners of €20 were: Jackie Carlos, Tim Coffey, John Keating, Cáit Looney & Gerry Doyle. Next week’s jackpot will be €6,350.

Cards: The weekly 45 card game is returning next Wednesday night, starting at 9pm sharp. Bring your own partner or come along and we will get you a partner.

U15s: Our u15 team had another gym session last Friday night. This gym work will continue every Friday (7-8pm) in the club gym for the next few months. Outdoor sessions continue every Sunday between 11am and 12.30pm. Our season will kick off next Sunday, Feb 13th when we will be playing in a pre-season tournament in Gallarus.

Juveniles: Na Gaeil Juvenile Academy for U7s, U9s and U11s are back training on Sunday mornings in the MTU Sports Hall from 12pm to 1pm. Fáilte roimh cách. For further details contact Colm on 087 9080465.

U7s: U7’s trained indoor in the MTU today. Unfortunately the hall is unavailable next Sunday so there is no training. Our next training will be indoors Sunday 20th February 12-1pm

U9s: The U9 boys had another busy session in the  MTU on Sunday morning. The session was divided between hopping, soloing, catching the ball up high and picking up the ball correctly. Plenty of running and 2 matches ensured plenty red faces by the end of the session! Training continues weekly at the MTU at 12-1 pm.

U11s: Fantastic training session today by our U11s in horrible weather. To a man they showed great enthusiasm and skill. All going well we will back next Sunday at 12pm at IT North Campus.

Bingo: A message from Niamh Burke….Na Gaeil Bingo Committee are on a recruitment drive looking for volunteers to help at their weekly Monday night Bingo, once every 5 to 6 weeks on a rota basis from 7.30pm to 10.00 pm. This is a vital fundraiser for Na Gaeil and also is a much loved weekly social event for all our patrons. If interested please leave your name and contact details at the clubhouse. I want to thank our existing Committee members who have given their time and energy so generously for our bingo for over a decade now.

Scór na nÓg: Scór na nÓg will be starting shortly. This is for secondary school students under the age of 17 on the 1st January 2022. There are competitions in Figure Dancing, Set Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Recitation, Novelty Act (drama), Instrumental Music and Quiz. If there are adults in the club interested in mentoring any of the above, or any teenagers interested in competing, please contact Margaret on 086 0855008.

Green CBS: Good luck to the Green C.B.S. and our clubmen Liam Óg Kingston & Tadhg Reen as they contest the Corn Uí Mhuirífinal against St. Brendans College next Sat at 1pm in Fitzgerald Stadium.
