Senior Co. League: Last Sunday Na Gaeil hosted Listry in round 2 of the County League Division 2.Na Gaeil started brightly and led by 5 points to 1 after 12 minutes and looked to be in control.

Listry worked the ball upfield for a goal to keep them in touch. Both teams added points leaving the halftime score Na Gaeil 0-10, Listry 1-6.

Na Gaeil dominated the 3rd quarter and stretched their lead to 5 points with just 15 minutes remaining. However Listry finished the last 15 minutes stronger, adding 4 points from play and 1 from a free to level the match. Final score: Na Gaeil 0-15, Listry 1-12.

U9 boys: The u 9 boys were up bright and early last Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful morning of football in Killeen. The session concentrated on tacking and passing and the coaches are delighted with the progress the boys are making!

U11 boys: Our U11s had a wonderful turnout last Sunday at training considering Kerry were playing in Dublin also. The main focus of our session was maintaining possession and hand passing. We finished up with a game of Backs and Forwards focussing on the lads being able to play in their positions. Well done everyone.

U13 boys: Na Gaeil Green played Ballymac last Sunday evening in the Co. League Round 2 at 6pm in Killeen. Great sporting game with both sides working very hard. Some fantastic scores were got by both sides and the defending was excellent and disciplined throughout.

Well done to our lads who just seemed to take their scores that bit better on the day and came out worthy winners in the end. Goalie kick outs were excellent also. Final score 3-17 to 3-0 in favour of Na Gaeil.

Na Gaeil White played at 7pm and again a very tough game. Na Gaeil started better but every time we seemed to be on top, Ballymac came back with fine scores to tighten the game up. Na Gaeil’s midfield was outstanding tonight giving a great transition from our defence to our forwards. Scores were taken very well and defence was again very disciplined.

Goalie kick outs were excellent making it easy for us to build the attack. That said Ballymac got it back to 3 points in the second half but our lads raised the standard again and finished that bit stronger. Final score was Na Gaeil 5-14, Ballymac 3-7. Thanks to Ballymac for two fine games.

U15 boys: Our u15 lads began their county league Div 3B campaign last Wednesday away to Listowel Emmets. Unfortunately Emmets proved too strong for us and won out on a scoreline of Listowel Emmets 5-10, Na Gaeil 0-14.
