Kerry Ladies: Well done to Mary O’Connell & the Kerry Ladies team who defeated Mayo last Saturday in the All-Ireland semi-final. They’re now in their first final since 2012 & hoping to win Kerry’s first senior All-Ireland title since 1993. Reigning champions Meath stand in their way in the final on Sunday July 31st.

Good Luck:  We’d like to wish the best of luck to Jack, Diarmuid, Stefan and the entire Kerry team in the All-Ireland final next Sunday. Hopefully the game will go well for them and we’ll see them back in Tralee on Monday with Sam Maguire.

U9 boys: The u9s took it easy on Sunday morning with a shooting and catching drill to start followed by a game where each team needed two passes before they scored. We finished the session with a penalty shootout which the boys thoroughly enjoyed. Training continues on Thursday at 6.45pm.

U11 boys: Fantastic fun session last Sunday morning. We just did some kicking drills and finished with shooting drills and a penalty shootout, coaches v players. Unfortunately for the players the coaches won both competitions with a little help from Eanna, Ethan, Rory and Nathan. Great fun was had by all.

U13 boys (White team): Na Gaeil White team played Austin Stacks last Sunday evening in very hot conditions and it was a very tough contest with every score having to be fought hard for.

Austin Stacks had a great start with two early goals and followed it up by two points. Na Gaeil started slowly but started to come into it after the water break with great defending and fantastic team play. We went in down at halftime 3-4 to 2-4.

The second half saw Na Gaeil put in a huge shift and we took control of the second half. It was a great display of fitness and teamwork. Every player on the field used every ounce of energy before the final whistle. It was what was needed to overcome a strong footballing Stacks team. Final score was Na Gaeil 5-13 to Austin Stacks 3-5.

U13 boys (Green team): Played Stacks last Sunday evening in Killeen in the Town League. Conditions were really hot and our boys put in a fine display. Stacks started better and built up a 2-4 to 0-1 lead in the first quarter.

Our lads responded really well and fought really hard to close the gap to 7 points at halftime. The second half was a battle for both teams and Na Gaeil tried their utmost to win the game but Stacks held out and won 5-11 to 5-6. It was a great display by both teams in the sweltering heat. Thanks to Austin Stacks for two sporting matches.

U15 boys: Last Wednesday evening Dingle were the visitors to Killeen for our first game in the Kellihers Toyota Central Region Div 3. Dingle won the toss and elected to play with the breeze.

They led by 3 points to 1 after 5 minutes but then Na Gaeil enjoyed a purple patch, scoring 2 goals and a points without reply to lead by 2-2 to 0-3 after 15 minutes. However, Dingle then took over, adding 1-2 to their score to leave the sides level at halftime.

A super individual point from Conor Lucey from the throw-in saw Na Gaeil get their noses in front once more only for Dingle to hit back with 1-1 to go 3 points ahead. Brian Heaphy and Brian Reidy both added points for Na Gaeil to cancel out 2 for Dingle. But then Dingle got through for a decisive goal to put them 6 points ahead with just 10 minutes remaining.

A last-minute penalty goal for na Gaeil proved to be only a consolation score as Dingle ran out winners on a scoreline of Na Gaeil 3-6, Dingle 3-9. Next Wednesday our lads are at home to Annascaul/Lispole at 7pm in round 2.

Our team was: Iarla Hanafin, Jack Kelly, Jeaic Canty, Cathal Fitzgerald, Ruadhan Clifford, Jamie Schoenmaker, Cillian Griffin, Darragh Morris, Conor Lucey, Jake Coffey, Liam Cooper, Brian Heaphy, Brian Reidy, William Somers, Paddy McElligott. Subs: Luke O’Donoghue, Karl Cronin, Cathal O’Sullivan.
