Na Gaeil senior team that defeated Churchill in the 2nd round of the St Brendan’s League.

Seniors: In the second round of the Brendan’s league, Na Gaeil faced Churchill in their new pitch. As Na Gaeil got to grips with the weather conditions, it was the home team that got off to the ideal start scoring 1-01 without reply.

Mid way through the first half however Na Gaeil blitzed the Churchill defence with Jack Barry scoring the first of three goals in a ten minute purple patch.

That finished the game as a contest. Mike Griffin and Jamie Lowham also chipped in with the other two goals. Then in quick succession we had a flurry of points from Jamie, Mike, Eoin Walsh and Seamie O’Neill to seal the two points.

The second half was a more even affair with both sides trading scores. Dara Carmody, Jamie Lowham and Seamie O’Neill registered scores for Na Gaeil, thus ensuring their first victory in the Brendan’s League, having lost the opening game to Ballymac.

Our team was: Tim Culloty, Dara Sheehy, Podge O’Sullivan, Joe Hayes, Eoin O’Neill, Dave Culloty, Paul Daly, Jack Barry, Dan O’Connor, Dylan Seymour, Shane Carey, Eoin Walsh, Mike Griffin, Jamie Lowham, Seamie O’Neill, Ger O’Connor, John Hayes, Dara Carmody,Jordan Murphy, Cormac Sheehy
