Scór Sinsear:

All roads lead to Ovens in Cork next Saturday at 6.00 pm for the Munster Final of Scór Sinsear.

We are proudly represented by our very talented Ballad Group: Therese Keating, Tracy Hurley, Rachel Moynihan , Pat Sheehy and Tim Lynch. We would like to wish them the very best of luck.

Minors:

We travelled to Laune Rangers for our rescheduled county league division two clash last Saturday. Rangers were missing a core group of players due to a school trip but the game had to be played due to the minor schedule. Na Gaeil finished up winners on this occasion but it was not a true reflection of this Rangers team.

All of our 17 players played very well together and some very good scores were great to see. The highlight has to be Ryan O Neill’s three full body block downs in the second half when Rangers really pushed at us. So now we turn our focus to Legion next Saturday to be played in Kileen at 4pm. The team sponsors are Leahy’s Pharmacy and the Meadowlands Hotel, Oakpark.

U 14s:

We have been placed in division 2b of the upcoming county league. We start on March 30th away to St. Mary’s, next home to Kenmare, away to Glenbeigh/Cromane, home to to Kilcummin and finally away to Beaufort. This is a very tough division and we are asking all players to begin to prioritise the football training from March onwards to prepare properly for these tough assignments. Registration required in March for all players.

U 12s:

The U 12 County League is fast approaching and our first game is pencilled in for April 4th. Our training sessions are now well under way and we look forward to good attendance from here on to be ready for the first round. Training continues Sunday evening at 4.30pm in Killeen.

U 10s:

Our boys continue to train indoors in Tralee Sports Complex. We had another big turnout last Sunday. Thanks to Eoin Sheehy from the senior team who gave JJ and Ger a hand with the training. Training is on again next Sunday at Tralee Sports Complex from 11am until noon.

Players are asked to bring €2 to cover the cost of the hall & please bring along your mouth-guard & a bottle of water too. Just a reminder that all players need to be registered with the club. Please register next Sunday. The cost for under 10s is €40.

U8s:

Training continued at the Tralee Sports Complex Astro Turf Facilities on Sunday last at 10 am. It was a beautiful morning and we had an excellent turnout. The coaches divided the U7s & U8s to allow everyone get more ball time. We practiced the basic skills and finished with very competitive practice games.

There were great performances from, Shane O’Donovan, Conor Reidy, Donnacha Hartnet and Fionn O’Dalaigh. Most improved players: Cathal Fitzgerald, Matthew Guerin. A Big Thank you to the Na Gaeil Seniors Star Forward Sean Lyons for his help and advice during the training session.

We all had great fun. There are some great photos on Facebook. All Players are asked to bring €2 to cover facility expenses. Also ensure you bring your water bottle & mouth-guard. Make sure you check out the Na Gaeil Facebook page for lots of photos of the teams’ training sessions.

See you all next Sunday at the Tralee complex 10am.

U 6 Boys & Girls:

These future stars were out in force last Sunday in Tralee Sports Complex under the leadership of Denis Sugrue, Richard Barrett, Kieran Donovan and newly recruited Hugh Sheehy. After a sprinting warm up, soloing and bouncing were top of the agenda, with these skills being practiced nicely in the match at the end of the session.

Fine displays from Joesph Field and Jonathan Sheehy ensured a nail biting 4-3 victory for the Green team. Can the Orange team reverse this result next week? Training resumes on Sunday next at 10 am. All new-comers welcome!
