Club of the Year     Na Gaeil Ladies, Kerry Ladies Club of the Year 2016.

At the Kerry Ladies Awards Dinner on Saturday night, we were awarded the Kerry Ladies Club of the Year.

We were nominated alongside Ballymac and Legion. We have had a good year with our Senior Team competing in Div 1, playing as a Senior Team for the 1st time and  making the Senior B Championship Final v Spa/Rathmore.

Our U16’s won County League Div 2, Tralee Town League Div1 and the North Kerry League Div 1 Shield. Our U14’s won North Kerry League Div 2 and the ultimate Féile Trophy. Our U12’s competed in 3 Finals along with our U10’s and U8’s doing so well in their Blitzes.

Our Mothers and Others Team played in the Munster and All Ireland Blitzes. It was a wonderful year of football which started off with winning the Féile where so many Parents and Volunteers helped to make the occasion a great success.

Without the help from our Volunteers, Mentors and Parents, we wouldn’t have had such a successful year on and off the pitch. Thanks to our Ladies Chairman Seamus Moriarty, Secretary Ermelinda Xhyheri and Treasurer Paul Cunningham for their work in the background, Outgoing Chairman Tim Lynch, Cathy Carey and the Na Gaeil Commitee, Bar staff Sean, Johnny, Declan and Dylan who have supported us throughout the year.

A huge thanks to our Mentors and Coaches who have given their time to the club, going to training, games and travelling around the County. Our Players who have shown great dedication to training and playing in good and bad weather conditions.

To all our Parents and Supporters who have had to travel the length and the width of the County to support us. Our Sponsors Denis Moriarty, Eamonn Costello Builders, Garryowen Transport, Pa Daly Solicitors, Bill and Margaret Doody and O’Neill Transport who also have supported us throughout all the year.

Without everyone pulling together as a club, we would not have been able to celebrate such an achievement like this.

Well done to our players Mary O’ Connell and Abi Casey who collected their U14 Munster Winning Medal and Runners Up All Ireland Medals with Kerry U14 team and to Jadyn Lucey who collected her Munster and All Ireland Winning Medals with the Kerry U16 team on Saturday night at the Kerry Ladies Awards.

Best of luck to Sarah Cunningham who is training with the Wicklow County Senior Team.

Awards Night      Under 12/14/16 & Minors: Our much anticipated AWARDS night will be held on Friday next, the 9th of December in the club house starting at 7.15pm sharp.
