Na Gae Na Gaeil wishes a very happy and prosperous New Year to all players, mentors, members, supporters and everyone associated with the club.

Scor    Best of luck to our Scor na nOg group heading for the Munster Finals in Ovens on Sunday the 8th January. Barry Sugrue, Aine O Sullivan, Joshua Quirke, Liam Og Kingston, Jack Costelloe and Dearbhla Quirke have done the club proud at every competition thus far, and I’m sure this Sunday will be no different.

One Wedding & a Funeral       Tickets for One Wedding and a Funeral are going fast so get to the club bar and purchase before they sell out! You definitely don’t want to miss this really hilarious comedy taking place in the club on the 14th January!! And bear in mind too that there won’t be tickets for sale at the door on the night so if you haven’t bought tickets before then you won’t be able to attend. Anyone who comes is guaranteed a great night and at €20 a ticket its excellent value for money, including as it does a buffet meal, a raffle for an iPhone 7 (no less) and other surprises which will all add to the fun on the night!!

Let’s Get Kerry Walking    Operation Transformation Walks are taking place this year in Tralee. Registration is essential so if you want to take part register at www.parkrun.ie/register  The 5k Walk or Run is on January 7th commencing at 9.30am.

Following the Operation Transformation Walk Day, Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership have teamed up with local groups countywide to offer a 6 week walking or running programme commencing the week beginning January 9th.  Anyone interested should make contact with the relevant group organisers in Tralee: Arthritis Ireland Kerry 087 672 3442. Cash For Clubs   Na Gaeil is now registered in the ‘Topaz Cash for Clubs’ initiative. Any club Members who are also Topaz card holders are able to allocate tokens to the Club and help raise funds.

Na Gaeil Cycling Club   Na Gaeil Cycling Club is now up and running with its winter schedule:  Saturday mornings at 10am from the clubhouse. ALL ARE WELCOME, high vis essential.

Fir na Gaeil   Light Football Training for Men who have retired from playing football and for those that have not played and would like to try it out. Very little skill is required. We train on Monday. This is a great way to keep fit with light training, ball games and a bit of a laugh. Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info indoor Core Training from 7.00 to 8.00 in the gym and Friday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm in the I.T.

Mna Na Gaeil    We are a Gaelic for Mothers and Others team who come together and do a bit of exercise, football training and socialising. Anyone who would like to join are most welcome, No skills are required, just a good attitude and a sense for fun. We are now doing indoor Core work for the winter on Wednesdays and Sundays.  Contact Eddie at 0876791460 for more info.

Lotto   The draw for the jackpot of €6,700 took place on Tuesday evening last. Numbers drawn were 7, 8, 20, 27.  There was no winner. €50 winners were Con Murphy, Oakpark Demesne and Mossie Kinsella/Billy O’Donovan Meadowlands. €25 winners were Pat Daly, Derrylea, Jennie & Pat Sheehy, Racecourse Lawn, Kayleigh Costello, Batemans Green and Tim Lynch, Castlegregory. Next week’s lotto is worth €6,800. All are welcome for the draw in the club each Tuesday night at 10.30pm.
Bingo    Bingo is on every Monday night at 8.30pm sharp. We have prize money of over €1,000 guaranteed every week with a mini jackpot that increases fortnightly when not won.  A door prize and a half-time raffle with lovely prizes will also take place every week. .  A bus service is available at 087 2817577.  You can ring this number for pick up and drop off.  100% of the funds raised go back directly into the club.   The bingo is run on a total voluntary basis and a huge thank you to all the parents who offer their time to run this vital fundraiser for the club.  If anyone wants to donate a spot prize for our weekly bingo raffle, please leave it at use and mark it Bingo. Thanks to all our patrons who support this event on a weekly basis.

Cards   A card game is held every Wednesday night in the clubhouse. This is a very sociable occasion where you meet your friends for a great night’s entertainment and relaxation.  Everyone from novice to senior will enjoy a relaxing game of 45.
