Celebration Night   We extend a big thank you to all who supported Na Gaeil Celebration Night in the Meadowlands Hotel on Saturday night last. It was a huge success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. A big thank you also to the Meadowlands for the wonderful venue, to the staff for the prompt service and for serving up a delicious meal. This all helped to make it such a wonderful occasion.

Tim Lynch Jnr. was MC for the night and did an excellent job. Chairperson Morgan Sheehy listed all the achievements the club had during the past year from under age to senior level in men’s and ladies’ competitions. The senior team had a great year winning the County League outright and reaching the premier Junior Final only to be beaten in a replay by eventual All Ireland winners Glenbeigh/Glencar.

The players were presented with their County League medals by Paudie Dineen who represented the County Board on the night. Na Gaeil u14 and minor teams also won their respective County Leagues with the Na Gaeil Ladies winning Féile. It was indeed a great year for the club. Eddie Sheehy was chosen as Club Person of the Year, an award richly deserved for his hard work and dedication to the club over the years.

He played a big part in Na Gaeil Ladies being named Club of the Year in 2016. Diarmuid O’Connor, Stefan Okunbor and Ryan O’Neill were congratulated on being part of the victorious Kerry Minor team as was Andrew Barry on winning an All Ireland medal with the Kerry junior team and his brother Jack on being part of the Kerry Senior team this year.
