U14    The U14’s had their first completive match of the year when they played Kerins O’Rahillys in the first round of the Town Board League in Ballyrickard on Sunday afternoon.

The home side started the brighter and opened the scoring with a point. Na Gaeil responded with two quick scores before Kerins O’Rahillys drew level with their second point of the game.

Na Gaeil regained the lead with another point. However the home side responded with the first goal of the game to open a two point lead. Na Gaeil responded to this set back and finished the first half strongly scoring 2-2 without reply to leave the half time score Na Gaeil 2-5 Kerins O’Rahillys 1-2.

Kerins O’Rahillys were quick out of the blocks in the second half and dominated the opening period scoring three points without reply to reduce the deficit. However, Na Gaeil slowly got back into the game and two quick goals put them back in control of the game. They followed up with five unanswered points.

However the home side refused to give up and struck back with three goals in the closing minutes to leave the final score Na Gaeil 4-10 Kerins O’Rahillys 4-5.
