IT’S been a momentous year so far for Na Gaeil GAA Club and they’ll enjoy another great night at the end of the month when they hold their annual race night.

Just last weekend they held a 40th anniversary bash at the clubhouse, but the club faithful will be back on Friday, November 30 for racing, some great prizes and even a spot of fashion.

As well as celebrating 40 years in existence, the senior team is played in the County League Division 1 for the first time and the ladies team won the Munster Intermediate Club Championship.

The club is asking all supporters, players and parents to purchase a horse at €40 from any member of the Race Committee or from the Club Bar over the coming weeks.

There’ll be a full card of racing, tote facilities and a Best Dressed Lady/Gents prize up for grabs on what should be a fun night out.

The proceeds raised will go towards catering for all teams as there are over 500 male and female players from U6 up to senior level. Also to cater for Scór na nÓg and Sinsir, and to maintain and upgrade facilities both indoors and outside.

Meanwhile, for the first time in ages, the Club Lotto has hit the €10,000 mark and they are encouraging people to get their tickets to be in with a chance of winning.
