A NEW business at Manor East has just opened creating 11 new full-time and part-time jobs.

The Bookshelf Coffee House, located where The Streat (later known as Counter) cafe used to operate, started serving customers on Wednesday.

The business is owned and run by the mother and son team of Anne and Paul O’Carroll from Asdee. Paul runs another Bookshelf Coffee House on the South Mall in Cork City.

They had been looking for a suitable premises for a while and thought the size and location of the premises in Manor was ideal, especially next to the retail centre and offices like Kerry County Council and the hospital nearby. The cafe will serve breakfast, lunch and brunch, teas and cakes with coffees a speciality.
