Car Sales In Kerry Up Almost 30% In First Quarter Compared To Same 2014 Period

UK-car-salesNEW car registrations showed a 29.75% growth in Quarter 1 2015 than the same period in 2014 according to latest data from Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI).

The SIMI and Done Deal report revealed that the strong trend of recovery seen  in the Motor Industry in 2014 (96,344 registrations) has continued, with new car registrations in the first three months of the year showing a 29.68% increase nationally to reach 64,714.

Registrations of Light Commercial Vehicles increased by 58.6% in Q1 2015, while registrations of Heavy Commercial Vehicles declined by 20.7% in Q1 2015.

In Kerry, car sales rose from  1,126 in Jan-Mar 2014 to 1,461 this year, representing 2.26% of sales in the Irish market.
