New Cigarette Butt Bins To Be Installed Around Town Centre

The cigarette butt bins which will be installed soon by Tralee Tidy Towns.

SMOKERS are being encouraged to dispose of their cigarette butts responsibly in new bins around the town centre.

The later Irish Business Against Litter report was very favourable to the town but it did highlight areas in the town centre where littering of cigarette butts was an unsightly problem

Now, in a collaborative effort between Tralee Chamber Alliance, Glan Tralee, Kerry County Council and Tralee Tidy Towns, 15 new cigarette butt bins will be fitted around the town to cut down on litter.

Tralee Tidy Towns will install the bins outside businesses who will take responsibility for emptying them, while the Chamber and Kerry County Council provided the funding.
