New Course Is The Business When It Comes To Tourism

THE tourism group Go Kerry has collaborated with Kerry Education and Training Board with the support of Kerry County Council and Destination Kerry, to introduce a Tourism with Business Course.

This course when finished will offer a level 5 FETAC major award. Participants will learn a whole range of new skills to enable them to independently and effectively carry out a range of information, administrative and service functions in tourism-related enterprises or to progress to further or higher education and training.

Modules include tourism principles and practice, tourism information and administration, customer service, internet skills, work experience, marketing practice, heritage and desktop publishing.

This is an evening class, one night a week and a Saturday a month in the Kerry ETB trainging centre in Monavalley. It starts on September 26 and is two years in duration.
