If granted it would continue the growth of business in the area with Lidl’s new outlet opening last year and the new HSE Primary Care centre planned for the Centrepoint building, adjacent to Slatts Car Park.

There’s also work going on at the old John Mitchels pitch, adjacent to Aldi on John Joe Sheehy road, which will see a petrol station and other business located there.

Also, Kerry County Council have plans — subject to planning and funding — to widen the entrance to Slatts Car Park from Boherbee to allow two lane entry/exit.

People can inspect the planning application at offices of the planning authority Kerry County Council building in Rathass Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
