IN case you are passing on The Mall later and the Christmas lights are off here’s what’s happened.
The new lights being tested on The Mall a few days ago.
The new lights on the Mall are being tested again this evening for about an hour from 7pm. To facilitate this, the existing public lights as well as the Christmas lighting will be turned off for a short time to allow the new lights to be tested (assess their intensity etc).
So there’s no power outage and the Christmas lights will be back on later tonight in case anyone is wondering.
