THE new-look CH store on The Mall is on schedule to be completed by the end of September.

The redevelopment is at an advanced stage and the Harty family have released the first design images of the new look CH store.

Work began back in March on the extensive renovation which is costing in the region of €1.5 million euro. World leading design agency Dalziel and Pow have created the new identity and store concept with local construction contractor Ned O’Shea and Sons doing the building works.

According to the designers the new store will be warm and full of personality. The reimagined store will be a place of discovery where customers can pop-in and explore what’s on offer.  Each department will have its own identity, easing navigation as well as giving the space a more optimistic feel.

Aside from all the building works, the family-run business will also change their brand identity.

The transformation begins by dropping the word ‘Chemists’ just leaving the new name as CH, with a reimagined logo.

Peter Harty of CH comments: “Although works began in March this project is a result of a lot of planning and preparation over the last two years. We have made many improvements to CH over the last 50 years but this is certainly the most extensive renovation in terms of design and investment.”

How the opticians department will look.

“We take pride in the fact that we are an independent family-run store in the heart of Tralee town. We want to honour the legacy of our parents who founded CH and also reinvest in our town. Today we want to share with our customers some imagery of what they can expect and also to say thank you for the continued loyalty and support. Once complete at the end of September the new CH experience will be the best possible store for our dedicated staff and customers.”

Over the last number of months services including the opticians and pharmacy have continued to trade in the store at 31, the Mall. The beauty, cosmetics and salon continue to operate temporarily from three separate units on Abbey court just off the Square, Tralee.
