THERE’S a new sponsor and judges this year for Ladies Day at the Listowel Harvest Racing Festival with over €5,000 in prizes on offer.
The day is the most stylish in Kerry’s social calendar with upwards of 30,000 people descending on the Island for the event which takes place on Friday, September 18 this year.
McElligott’s Tralee in association with Honda are the new sponsors, taking over from Chic Boutique who have been sponsoring the event for the past 25 years, while the recently recruited judges are top international model and Honda Ambassador, Alison Canavan, and well known broadcaster and former judge from The Apprentice and Ballyduff native, Brian Purcell.

Widely regarded as one of Ireland’s most glamorous Ladies Day events, this year there is a cash prize fund of €5,750, and three additional new categories, including the McElligott’s Honda Best Dressed Couple, the McElligott’s Honda Jazziest Headpiece and the Listowel Races Most Glamorous Young Racer.
The winner of the McElligott’s Honda Ladies Day will receive a cash prize of a cheque for €3,000.
The first runner up will receive a cheque for €1,000 and second runner up a cheque for €500.
In addition, Listowel Races are sponsoring a prize of €500 for the most Glamorous Young Racer under 25 years of age, with a runner up prize of €250.
The winners of the McElligott’s Honda Jazziest Headpiece will receive a cheque for €500 and the McElligott’s Honda Best Dressed Couple will win a weekend for two in Carton House.
