A NEW badminton club is being established at Tralee Sports Complex with an enrolment day taking place at the Complex on next Saturday, September 26 between 11am and 1pm.
Tralee Badminton Club will be running coaching session for players from the ages of 8 to 17 years.
The resident club coaches are Michelle Corr and Jill Redmond who are Level 1 and Level 2 qualified Badminton Coaches respectively. Combined Michelle and Jill have over 15 years coaching experience.
The pair are actively involved in coaching the Kerry Juvenile squads and the Munster U13 Squad, as well as being active coaches within local clubs.

The Kerry squads have won the Munster Championships in each year they have been coaching, which saw them progress to the All-Ireland Finals.
The training sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday nights for the following age groups; U11 and U13 from 6-7pm and U15 and U17 from 7-8pm.
Previous experience of playing badminton is not a requirement. The cost of training will be €35 per calendar month to attend two sessions per week or €6 for each session.
The cost of membership is €50 which covers membership to Badminton Ireland, Kerry County Badminton and insurance. Due to the high demand for places and the current Covid restrictions, places may be limited.
