Next Year’s Listowel Races Festival To Be Closer To End Of September

WITH excitement building up to the Listowel Harvest Festival race meeting starting this Sunday, the news has come through that the 2020 meeting will be two weeks later than this year.

Horse Racing Ireland has released the fixture list for next year and Listowel also gets an extra days racing for its June Bank Holiday weekend meeting.

Their September 2020 meeting will take place from Sunday, September 20 to Saturday, September 26.

This is to avoid a clash with the National Ploughing Championships.  This date is closer to when the meeting was traditionally held in the past. The summer meeting takes place from Saturday, May 30 to Monday, June 1.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of racegoers are expected at this year’s festival, where racing starts at the course this Sunday, September 8 and continues until Saturday, September 14. For more see
