No Rise Again In Confirmed COVID-19 Cases In Kerry

THERE was no increase in the number of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Kerry reported this evening, with the total so far in the county still at 308.

It is not known how many of the 308 people have recovered from the virus.

To put this in perspective, that’s an increase of three cases in a week, six in a fortnight and 15 since May 1, when there were 293 confirmed cases in Kerry.

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 24,391 after 76 new cases were confirmed this evening.

Twelve more deaths from the virus were reported this evening in Ireland at the daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team.  This brings the total of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 to 1,583.

Kerry has the 18th most cases in the country after Dublin (11,765), Cork (1,386), Kildare (1,381), Cavan (804), Meath (788), Louth (748), Wicklow (657), Westmeath (658), Limerick (612), Mayo (560), Tipperary (529), Monaghan (488), Donegal (479), Offaly (472), Galway (445), and Clare (315) and Roscommon (310). The Department’s Covid-19 information dashboard can be accessed by clicking here.
